Care

Dishwasher safe (unscrew any beech handle or knob first). Let it cool before it meets cold water, and use wooden or silicone tools. Our care guide

About the Stove Kettle

The kettle takes longer to make than anything else we sell: a body, a spout and a base pressed separately, welded, then dipped twice. The colour goes on all over, including the inside, so there is no bare metal for scale to cling to.

The handle is steam-bent beech and it stays cool enough to lift without a cloth. It is held by one pin, so if you ever scorch it on a big gas ring you can buy a new one for £8 rather than a new kettle.

The whistle is loud enough to hear from the garden and quiet enough to live with. Leave the cap up if you would rather it did not sing.

Three winters on the range

“It has sat on our range for three winters and still looks new. The beech handle stays cool, and the whistle reaches the top of the house.”
